The story of our eureka moment is simple. I went to an aquarium group club meeting in Pottsville. There I met the president of a now out-of-business company in New Jersey. We were talking about different aquarium products. He said he thought the market wanted a DC operated aquarium pump and I told him that this was a project that I and my business partners had on our radar. So he said, “Why don't you come up with a concept and pitch it to us in a couple of weeks?” I brought this information back to Justin and Pat. I said, “We have an opportunity.” This is a real company in the industry, and at the time they were doing really well. I said we might have a shot at getting something going.
